Terms of use

These terms cover your use of Taybit during early access, operated by Taybit LLC, a Wyoming, United States company. Contact us at team@taybit.com. By signing in or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Who can use Taybit

You must be at least 18 years old to use Taybit. Do not create an account for a child or submit a child's personal information.

The service

Taybit teaches topics through questions, narrated diagrams, and examples, and explains GitHub pull requests with source references. Explanations are generated with software and can be incomplete or wrong. They are not a review, an approval, or medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Check important facts and source references independently. You remain responsible for decisions based on an explanation, including what you approve, merge, or deploy.

Early access is provided as is. Features, limits, and availability may change or stop, and we may suspend access to protect the service or other users.

Plans and billing

The Free plan includes credits that renew each month on your signup day and time in UTC, using the last day for shorter months. Pro costs $49 USD per month and renews automatically until you cancel. Your plan's shared credits, voice features, and processing limits are described on our pricing page. Credits apply to their current monthly period and do not roll over. We do not automatically charge for usage beyond your credit balance.

Credits cover processing, including voice, research and visuals. Processing already performed can use credits even if you cancel a request or the result cannot be completed. Replaying saved content does not use credits.

Stripe processes subscription payments and hosts billing management. You can update payment details, view invoices, or cancel through Manage subscription in Taybit. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access to that paid period continues until then. A failed payment, refund, or dispute may affect paid access.

For billing questions or refund requests, contact team@taybit.com. Canceling stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund an existing payment.

If you cannot access GitHub or your Taybit account, email team@taybit.com for help canceling. We verify ownership before changing a subscription. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that applicable consumer law gives you.

Your content and repositories

• You keep all rights to your code and content.
• You let us access and process it only as needed to provide the service to you.
• You may use generated explanations and drawings, subject to applicable law and third-party rights. Generated output may be similar to other output and is not guaranteed to be original or accurate.
• Only connect repositories and submit pull requests you are authorized to share with us.

Connecting GitHub gives Taybit access to the repositories you select. Automatic PR walkthroughs, if you enable them, use the funding account's credits and can post a walkthrough link on GitHub. You can manage this under Repositories. Deleting content or revoking GitHub access does not cancel a paid subscription.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to access data or repositories that aren't yours, to bypass limits or security controls, to overload the service, or to use it for anything unlawful, to expose another person's private information, or to create harmful or abusive content. Report harmful or unsafe output through Feedback or team@taybit.com.

Third-party services

Taybit relies on GitHub to access repositories, AI and speech providers to analyze code and generate narration, and Stripe to process payments. Their own terms apply to their services.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Taybit is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on its explanations.

Changes

We may update these terms and publish the effective date on this page. For material changes, we will provide notice in the service or by email before the changes take effect, and request renewed agreement where required.
